USA, coast to coast on a bike.
I'm from the UK and a lifelong dream is to go coast to coast on a bike. Has anybody ever done it? Is it worth forking out nearly £6000 pound for a three week holiday? Is it advisable to do it on your own rather than going through a company?
What I mean is would it be cheaper for me to fly out there and purchase a bike and make my own route and timetable and then sell the bike at the other end.
Any info would be appreciated.
