Like I said in my above post, the second half of the movie completely goes away from the Silent Hill games. Spoiler:
Sharon, Cybill, and Rose were all obviously dead the entire movie when they were stuck in the fog at the end without seeing Sean Bean. In the Silent Hill games (especially the first one), the main characters typically make it out of Silent Hill alive, if not mentally scarred forever. I would have enjoyed the movie much more if it followed the first game till the end, even if the script remained as bad. It was just really really cool seeing the locations in the game in a movie. The Hell World was portrayed better than any game location ever in a movie. I'll say it again: if anything, Silent Hill had the best looking environments in any game movie I've ever seen. They were well-crafted and created the atmosphere of Silent Hill perfectly. Too bad that was basically the only positive thing about the movie.
