Bands ok
I was in a lot of bands/groups lets see how many I can remember. A lot of them did not get very far, only a few gigs. Some more memerable ones.
1 - Mass Confusion: One of my first bands. This was in Highschool, we wrote a lot of our own music, played covers. We were a grundge band when the Seatle sound was really sort of peeking. We broke up finally in senior year when I felt the music was not challenging enough nor were we able to get a bassplayer to stay with us. Subsequently our last bassist went on as lead guitarist in what is now a very popular Canadian rock band that has hit records etc.
2 - No Feedback - was a band that never got anywhere outside of rehersal but it was a fun band, we were a lighter band then MC, still rock though. This was in Highschool as well. I met my best friend in this band, he even played bass in the 1st band I listed but didn't work. He is a good song writer. Broke up because of inner politics
3 - In University I studied music. I played in the University Jazz ensemble as well as lead my own Jazz Trio (Jazz Odyssey Trio) which held concerts each semester. I co-lead a quintet that played fairly often around campus.
4 - Browbeat was a sort of Jazz/Rock mostly Jazz trio which was a great group. We had a semi-regular gig in a non-jazz loving city. Uni kids liked to come hear us play. We had a demo, wrote our own music a fair amount. That band broke up because I wasn't interested in the social climate that was evolving in the group (to many drugs) and that I was ready to move to the states.
I had played in a lot of musical siuations mostly subbing in bands or short stays in them and about a dozen bands that never got off the ground because no one wanted to put the time into it. From Metal to Blues to Classic Rock. I was sort of a constant sideman if you will, able to play with anyone but I guess I was to good for anyone to want me to join their group full time because smeone didn't want to lose their spot to me. Happens all the time.
