JV has a 30-day eval period. Tons of other HD registry cleaners, too. CC is quick & beautiful for file cleanup, but I just use its reg scan to tell me about general state & if things are getting sketchy. It's not as if CC reg cleaning is some monster but it has bitten me on a small percentage of systems. The fear of another hour on a box can make a guy cautious.
