I always have spybot and avasti virus running. I use winxp firewall.
It wasnt really a sudden loss of speed, it has been happening for years now I guess. Im just now getting totally PO w/ it.
All I use my CPU for is internet, Word, and Winamp.
I used to get thin green lines going down my screen when I play videos. I still get them, but i now also get them basically everywhere. It really makes my cpu look like crap.
I will say that I am using my 46" HDTV as my montior, running w/ s-vid.

I have 3 cd roms (one scsi 52x cd rom, 1 8x scsi cd-re, and one normal dvd player) - are these, having more than one affecting my performance?
2NIC cards, and 1 wireless card.
