I do atkins along with my regular workouts every year or so for maintenence, it's a good 1lbs-1.5lbs a day for a week or so for me, which by most standards for weight loss is insane. It's a good diet, I know many people who see similar results when they go on it.
It's pretty easy: Wake up, get on your bike and take a ride around the block a few times, come home. Cook breakfast (eggs and bacon, fun diet hmm?) wait for lunch, make lunch (2-4 hotdogs, no buns. one salad with home made dressing). Hit the weights (Upper body monday/wednesday, lower body tuesday/thursday. light workout friday, cardio on saturday. rest on sunday). Dinner time, steak/chicken and a salad or some vegetables. Fill up your 20 grams of carbs you're allowed to have a day with an energy shake when you want it and that's it for about 3 weeks.
