I use Kazaa Lite. I first used it to download copies of albums which I had purchased, but got stolen by my ex, or in one case, broken by my friend's drunken father. I figured, I gave these people money already for this music, why should I give it to them again for the same music? There are also rare songs you can't buy I find on there, I have CDs full of live stuff and B-sides. However, I would feel guilty by downloading an entire album when it is available at the store. Sure, everyone knows the record companies inflate the prices, but the artist gets ZERO when their stuff is downloaded. Just because an artist has an album out does not mean they are wealthy. Besides, I think the actual artwork with the album is part of the whole experience.
Reasonably priced "official" downloads would solve many of the problems, and besides, you would know you are getting files with excellent integrity.
