I have a LiveJournal already, so I don't keep a TFP one. I would rather keep my LJ because it's public, as opposed to TFP journals which are only visible to TFP members.
I keep my journal as a way to see how I change over the years. I used to keep it on paper (starting in 1993) or on my computer (starting in 1997), but decided to put it up for public viewing some time ago. Although until 2002-2003ish, the entries were relatively infrequent (as in every few months or sometimes years). Anyway, sometimes I get feedback from my friends regarding how to handle some situations, which is nice.
I occasionally read other members' journals, and find them fascinating. Often, they are more personal perspectives than would be allowed on the boards. I read my friends' LJs too.
