That was something that I struggled with as well - in fact it was the topic of my first journal entry. Ultimately I knew that putting things into a form that was organized enough for other people to consume was a good practice for me. If I knew that nobody else would ever see my thoughts I'd be tempted to take shortcuts, thinking I'd understand what I was saying later. I've already looked back at entries and seen places where that would not have been the case.
