I don't have any kids of my own but I have a 7 year old niece. She is being raised in a non-religious home but goes to a Catholic school (they have a great French Emmersion program).
The other day she, my mother and I were driving around town and we decided to pop through the drive through at Tim Horton's for a snack. My niece asked if we could get her a couple of Tim-bits and we said sure. She explained earnestly that she had to have Tim-bits because she gave up doughnuts for Lent.
For those non-Canadians out there - Tim-bits are doughnut holes. Obviously she has not figured that out.
Mom & I were extremely proud of ourselves that we did not laugh outloud.
