I don't usually try for all the lights on, glaring brightness but the brighter light or daytime does not inhibit me at all. I think the better mood is gained when I have only one small lamp on or even lots of candles. I enjoy being able to see my partners face and the expressions and feelings on it. Being able to see what I'm doing and touching just makes me more capable I think. Though I've done it in pitch black or nearly so and that can be just as fun, trying to FEEL my way around.
