There are ways through these machines to live people sometimes. If I'm feeling particularly vindictive, I'll hit "0" or random numbers to see if the voice stops. The couple of times that's worked, I've given someone an earful for having a machine call me.
Since the phone is my cash register at work, I find it very hard to let one ring even if I know that it's a telemarketer on the other end.
It's amazing that regardless of what side of the aisle they sit on, everyone is annoyed by robocalls. I can handle telemarketers, but this drives me batty.
