I dunno that you really will unless xepherys is wrong - in which case you'd have to upgrade to run Vista. And xepherys makes a convincing argument. . . I'd bet he's right.
I think it was the gamespy article (but I'm probably wrong) that compared Spore's graphics processing to the processing-on-the-fly graphics they used to have in the demo scene. From what I understood (and again I could be wrong) it's essentially the same concept. Anyone remember Future Crew? They were getting stunningly good graphical animations to run on a 286. I wouldn't be surprised if this game will run on even low end systems.
