Yup. You can no more be "half free" or "half disarmed" than you can be "half pregnant." Either you're free and armed, or enslaved and disarmed.
As for England's much-vaunted gun-grab: check out their swiftly rising rates of all violent crimes, across-the-board, for the last decade or so. Check out their 100%-plus increase in "hot" burgalaries and home-invasions. Check out the assault rate in Scotland, which is now the highest in the developed world, according to the UN.
