because they are H&K, THATS WHY!!
I really wish it was different, as I dont want to decock the gun if I put too much oomph into disengaging the safety.
for what I feel is the best insight as to H&K's habbits, consult the old SNL skits with Mike Myers doing the 'Sprokets' skit.
