Maybe it's those Honda X cars: for my '04 Acura TSX (Euro Accord in some parts of the world) which is factory stock and not super or turbocharged (yet) the factory recommends premium gas and you can notice increased sluggishness and reduced gas milage (I did not do a cost/benefit on milage) if you use regular octane; like said above, this car's ECU will adjust for it to prevent knock/detonation but power suffers.
