Steve Reich anyone?
I haven't heard a particularly large amount by him, but what I have is hypnotising. One of my favorite things by him is 'Piano Phase', because of the fantastic range of blends that comes out of something so relatively simple.
Also the fact that stuff like 'Bleed Out' seems to have had political as well as musical significance is just so clever. I should be performing 'Clapping Music' with a friend in a concert in a couple of months....Anyone else like this guy?
