I think he's going to be pretty good, but the majority of the opinions I get all seem to center around the fact that he's an incredibly unattractive guy.
He's too short.
He's too ugly.
Look at that face..
et cetera, et cetera.
I thought he was fantastic in Layer Cake and I think he'll make a pretty good Bond as long as the is a fairly good story there to work with. He's 'gritty' and I think James Bond is overdue for some 'grit.'
