Very true, especially as IPB is a commercial product and I have to pay an annual fee for it's usage. I thought the fee bought me good customer service and tech support. Hrmph! That's why I'm strongly considering moving to phpBB...
Trouble is, of course, phpBB will have a different database structure entirely, and the move there will be very much more complicated. There is a IPB -> phpBB converter, but, as IPB have just changed the database format, that will now be invalid, and will need to be updated before becoming usable. As several of the changes I saw in the database were fairly pointless IMHO, I do wonder if part of the reason for the changes is to make more money from mugs like me, and to prevent us pissed off mugs from moving to phpBB, as it will too much hassle and the converters wont work...
