If you hear about the U of South Carolina building something or buying something, it's 99% likely that the Education Foundation had some hand in actually getting things done. His job entails investing millions of dollars and looking at donated land/houses/etc.
He's also incredibly good at what he does. Considering he was the first from his family to go to college, it's that much more incredible.
