YEAH, she "fell" down some stairs. They're buying it because they want his confession. Does this not say "drugged her, beat her until she went unconscious, then raped her" to anyone else? Maybe she fought his rape even while drugged, so he just beat her until she stopped resisting. I find it very hard to believe she just fell down some stairs. Scumbag.

I was thinking the same thing when I read that she had ingested a cocktail of alcohol and drugs. I find it hard to believe that she fell and he saw this as an opportunity. I'm more likely to believe that this was planned to some extent. I might allow that the head injury was accidental or was done more as a way to try to cover up the rape. Either way, this man deserves whatever happens to him and then some.
