It's great to see the women so dominant and play so freaking awesome. What an inspiration. I have to admit though, I'm a big hockey fan of both women's and men's hockey.
As for the men, I hope they can get it going. When I first saw the roster I kinda went oh oh, mainly because Gretzky picked alot of his buddies. If I had a say, Chris Draper and Todd Bertuzzi would have been replaced by Jason Spezza and Eric Staal.
Bertuzzi just looks completely uninspired and has all year. Regardless of his suspension, he doesn't seem to know how to play hockey without being physically dominant. If he doesn't get it together his career will be over very soon. Someone told me he was overated which at the time I didn't agree with but the more I watch him, the more that sentiment keeps creeping into my psyche.
And Pat Quinn has to formulate a lineup and stick with it. Switching lines every game if not every period shows a lack of continuity which can, at this late stage in the games be very nerve racking.
My prediction will be Canada bronze at the best, if they even win a medal. I hope they do better than my prediction.
