Hey folks. Once again after extensive Googling and TFP searches I come to the computer board defeated...
I just got a Dell 1905FP Monitor which has 4 USB ports built in. Whenever I try to plug in my portable hard-disk, the system tray gives me an error:
(paraphrasing): "Power Surge on Hub Port - click on this message to solve this problem"
When I click on the message, it gives me an oppurtunity to disconnect the device and reset the port. I suspect that the hard-disc needs more power than the monitor's hub port can provide, but it seems like it should be able to power the disc especially when there's nothing else plugged in...
My wireless adapter is plugged in and
that works... anyone with a Dell 1905FP ever have this problem? Is there truly a power surge happening or is this just a bogus warning as a result of a bug or something?
