Game on Fresnelly...
I love the Guild Inn. My wife and I had a very important picnic there when we were first dating and later, stayed there for an anniversary (the hotel was a real dump). Sadly, they closed the place down in 2001 and are tearing it down. The gardens and the cool bit of Toronto acrhitectural past are still there and being maintained.
They have been talking about building a new hotel/spa on the sight as well as a dock at the water's edge and a funicular to bring passangers up to the gardens... that would be nice.
