My favorites are probably:
1.
Something Positive, which is a comic about the misadventures of a group of Bostonians, featuring excessive violence and sarcasm. The following is something I found on the web -- if anyone cares, I can give credit for it: Randy [the writer] has made a story that has become more involved than strange play rehearsals and D&D. What was once an innocent romp through a field of cynicism and sex midgets has become a heart-felt, honest, and sometimes painful story. What's even better, is that though melodrama can be a dangerous medium to work with, Randy does it flawlessly. [Edited out spoilers regarding a recent, depressing storyline]. Kudos to Randy for actually having people feel sympathetic towards his characters. The fucking bastard.
2.
Queen of Wands, which is probably even harder to describe, but is about a group of friends in Denver. It's now over, and going through re-runs with artist commentary.
Both comics are focused on the dramatic, but with a heavy emphasis on the humor and satire.
