Though I am repressed about it Coppertop, I am losing speed too. I am at the peak of my hockey career (I hope) and it looks bleak. All I hope is that I can gain an advantage because I'm the young guy with stamina.
I agree that the number of teams doesn't need to be changed but I think with the number of teams in the playoffs is right for the number of teams. If there were less teams, then I think there should be less playoff spots.
In any effect, back to the topic at hand. I think that the jerseys shouldn't be tucked in but if they can get more aerodynamic then go for it. But there will be a lot more skinny guys in the league. Chris Chelios has been using the same shoulder pads since he started in the NHL. And their pretty old, like the old Cooper ones which used only fabric and plastic only at the shoulders. I think players like that will get hurt the most because if you can see where the equipment ends, then you could target certain areas like the back.
