If it has different heads,a different blower, single cams instead of two. No dry sump oiling. Different rods, different pistons...fewer valves...
It is NOT the same engine. By that logic the LS1 and the LS6 Chevy small blocks are the same engine because they are both 5.7 liters. But they share about as many parts between the two as the Lightning 2v SOHC motor shares with the 4v DOHC Ford GT.
I wish the Lightning and the GT shared even 85% of the same componnents. Hell I wish the Lightning just had the 4v heads the GT has. Get another 1000 rpms out of the sucker easy.
