It's definately one of my favorite series. It might be too slow for some, but I think the "slowness" helps intensify the key moments in the series. Kirika and Chloe are two of my favorite characters in general, they are both very well done. I also agree about the soundtrack. Probably my favorite OST of any anime series at the moment.
On a side note, I just purchased the Noir Series (thin-pack) about two weeks ago. Its got all seven DVDs, plus the original cover artwork for each.
