It's interesting that within the last year, three famous playwrights have passed away. Beginning with Arthur Miller last spring, followed by August Wilson in the fall, and Wasserstein, now.
Wasserstein was along the same lines as Wilson for me. Their work was good, very good, but often, I felt too specific for me to connect with. But that doesn't hold me back from mourning both of them as tremendously talented forces in modern theatre.
