They played in Green River with Bruce Fairweather (also of Mother Love Bone) along with Mark Arm and Steve Turner, currently of Mudhoney. I think there's someone else too, but I can't put a name to it. In any case, they were on the Sub Pop label before they broke up; I don't remember why they split, but I'm pretty sure the animosity between Cobain and Pearl Jam later was something to do with it.
What can I say? I went through a big Seattle grunge phase when in my teens.
Let's stick to the theme here for a bit..
Seattle grunge was popularized in the early nineties by four groups, collectively known as the big four. Of the four, Pearl Jam is the only group still together today; Nirvana died with Kurt and the other two broke up in between.
Who were the other two groups?
