I don't necessarily "hate" the car. I could care less about something like that. Just look at the frontal part of the car in the video linked in this thread already, and then realize that the car did NOT absorb 100% of the impact. The wall moved!
I didn't call it a death trap, either. But, in a higher speed collision, with either a stationary object, or a larger vehicle, the driver will sustain significant injury in my opinion, mostly to the lower legs. The dash panel moved back quite a bit too, if you look at both the video linked in here, and the one you linked to, Knife.
Personally, and in my opinion, I'd never trust one of those for myself, or anyone I cared about. Buy a slightly larger and safer car. I'm not directly correllating those two things, but that car shouldn't be considered a "truly safe" car, in my opinion.
