I found one locally on craigslist before Christmas, paid $400 for a core (which should be $300), and bought the HD cables and the HDD on the way home at Target.
So far, I have PGR3, Kameo and Condemned.
Coming from GT4, PGR3 looks nice, but not amazing. The physics seem really bizarre, and there isn't a whole lot of car choices for you to really choose from. There is no car customization, and the cars seem to all act pretty much the same. The courses are fun, but some of the races you have to do (aka, the style point races) are pretty retarded. Overall, a 2 out of 5.
Kameo was alright, and I played through all of the way. It's a nice looking game and doesn't have really any slowdown at anytime. The control setup was maddening, having you switch between your characters on the ABXY buttons, and actually attacking using the triggers. I dug through the menus time and time again hoping to have a system where the shoulder triggers would swap characters, and ABXY would go back to doing stuff. I played the game all of the way through, and took way to long to do it. Probably ended up getting the lowest score possible on a bunch of the missions because I never cared about my score. Overall 4 out of 5
Condemned seems like a game where the creators were trying to frustrate you. Every weapon you pickup is only rated based upon what weapon you already have, so you can't really tell if it's way more damaging and just a touch slower, or just a little more damaging and a ton slower. The lighting effects make everything look like plastic (thanks, bump-mapping), and there is a very minimal amount of interactivity throughout the game. Being able to only carry a single weapon at a time is also extremely annoying, assuming that you are a police officer, you should have at least a holster handy. Also, not having any ammo for the guns you pick up is pretty annoying. I would kill in that game for the ability to holster my weapon and switch back to the lead pipe. The music and general feel of this game is good though, so the atmosphere is good in general. Overall a 3 out of 5
So, basically, don't worry about picking up a 360 yet, unless you want to play another WW2 shooter. There just isn't anything out for it yet that really is a "must buy"
