I'm not sure how some people think we can just move on from such things so fast. You can't pretend they never happened... one needs to elarn thier lessons from the past. However, you DO have to get over it. You can't expect equality, and expect to be treated differently. Those two things are, in fact, mutually exclusive. So, black people in America can either dwell on the past, or they can become equals. Black people and white people don't have to be the SAME. But they have to deserve the SAME THINGS.
