Daoust... isn't the whole premise of the show to continually dangle carrots and to slowly reveal more information (while creating more questions).
That is the whole point of Lost.
I thought the episode was fine. We have a little more of Jack's background, though I still wonder why his Dad ended up as he did.
Sawyer and Kate seem a little bit closer, Michael is nuts, the Korean couple has reached a new plateau in their relationship and Hurley has the hots for the psychiatrist.
I'd say, quite a bit of character development occurred.
