The first shot is quite good. My main suggestion would be to clone out the dark lines at each end of the shot. I would also use some color correction to balance out the colors. The blue hue is a bit overwhelming in it.
The second shot is a bit hazy. I would suggest using curves or shadow/highlights to bring a bit more contrast to the image.
