She was fantastic in Night of the Hunter... the scene where she is dead, in the car, underwater, in the river was one of the most beautiful scenes committed to film.
Seeing some of her earlier roles, later in life, was a big eyeopener for me as my first memories of her were from the Poseiden Adventure. The difference was incredible.
