I'm viewing on a Sony Trinitron screen right now (Multiscan 200ES) and it's my second favorite monitor every. My most favorite monitor is the Samsung Syncmaster 17gL (and probably monitors of the same line) because of the quality, durability (it's ~7 years old), and because of the brightness and contrast knobs.

I hate the brightness/contrast controls that are buttons because with knobs, with a flick of the wrist you can black out your screen or turn it to full brightness extremely quickly. That's what I'm going to be looking for when I buy my next monitor.
