Seems rather gimmicky... I haven't read, seen, or heard anything about this, though. D-Link came out with some "Superfast XOMG Wireless" routers a while back that claimed to be twice as fast as regular 802.11b and 802.11g. Guess what? They weren't.
This new stab at things may be different though. *shrug*
