As for convergence, I agree with that article to the point of looking at what has been commercially released so far. But then I look at my XBOX, which after modification and an upgraded hard drive, can play its own games without discs, can play DVDs without a dongle, can play NES, SNES, N64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Sony Playstation, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, Colecovision, Intellivision, MSX, MSX 2, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega 32x, Sega CD, Sega Game Gear, Turbografx 16, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Wonderswan games (and probably more that I haven't come across). I enjoy that sort of convergence greatly.

I only wish I owned this XBOX when I was 5 years old; when Wrath of the Black Manta was still a kick-ass ninja game.
