as a tole painter, my wife once painted a very nice wooden bowl with a lid on it---when we moved from Illinois to Texas she gave it to our daughter----she eventually sold it at a garage sale---last month my wife picked it up off of a table at a Texas flea market---it still had her initials on the bottom.
