As a student whose parents are footing 100% of the bill for me, I have a fairly good general idea of the price of college, and because of that (and how many students I see paying for their own college) it's made me more grateful and hard working while I'm at college so that I'm making the most of my education. If it were just high school all over again it would be a joke to me, but knowing the price my parents are paying for my education has turned me into a more studious diligent child.
I'm 18 at the moment, and after my first year of college I'm hoping to have something like a 3.7 which I think is competitive enough to be able to apply for scholarships and potentially make something. I would've done it sooner but I was barely in the top half at my high school, so I didn't have my grades high enough to make any money.
