Maybe some good snow tires.....
Other than that it's a matter of
learning to drive in the snow.

In a car the weight will just lift your front tires
making it harder to steer.
If you want to add weight it needs to be centered.
I grew up in Michigan.
Now that I live in WNC,
It never ceases to amaze me the number
of people who panic with an inch of snow.

Next time it gets icy
find a nice open parking lot (with no cops around)
and practice sliding around
and stopping the slide
It's a matter of practice
