Its not very much like the first one. Wikked Lil Grrrls is pretty eclectic in the song styles that are put into use throughout the album. I'd go as far as to say that it is nothing like the (her) first album.
Its a pop album, the whole way through, but not bubblegum and just barely top 40. You'll find at least 2-3 songs on here you'll love. The biggest point of contention that I can barely figure out is the spoken word/rap part of the main ballad of the album. "Gone" featuring Cee-lo Green. Some people say it destroys the song, some say it makes the song. Overall it's still a highly enjoyable and well made album.
