There is always a risk of pregnancy, even with the pill condoms spermacide and other contraceptives. I know that none of them have a 100% sucess rate. If my wife were to become pregnate right now, everything would be fine. I have a good job, we have a house that can fit another kid, we have the time and we would love the child and raise it the best we could. Outside of an ideal situation like this, I would certianally abstain. Abstaining is the only certian way to avoid prgnancy, unless your name is Mary and you live in Israel around 2000 years ago. I don't want to hijack this thread. If you want, I'd be glad to start a thread in philosophy about abortion, contraceptives, and abstainance.
Murder is when someone takes the life of a human after it becomes a zygote (before sentience, admittedly, but the zygote is a living human with the potential for sentience and a soul, if you believe in such things), espically because the pregnancy is simply unwanted. With the ability to procreate comes the responsibility as intelligent life forms to be sure that our offspring are able to be raised in a good environment. If you can't, then don't.
