The official policy differs depending on what position one holds. The base people, including sales associates and secretarys, are allowed to surf only on down times, with approval from their manager. The managment staff is allowed to surf pretty much whenever, but they are monitored by upper managment (if we walk in and they have a pile of work to do and are looking at E!.com, they are in trouble). Upper managment, including the board members, are allowed to do pretty much anything we want within reason, including surfing. There are no limitations on board internet use, and I am very good at getting any and all work done first and formost. There is more legal mumbo jombo, but those the summerizations of the rules. Upper managment is allowed to check on anyones surfing. No one watches us because we are the watchers. I often am on TFP while I'm on the phone (I'm on the phone right at the second, actually). The computers are owned by the company, including the one I am using right now. (If it were my computer, it would be a Mac with a ton of RAM and a decent processor, but that's neither here nor there.)
