1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Egg nog is nasty, and I don't like chocolate -- so I'll go with hot mulled cider for festiveness, or just give me coffee... blessed coffee.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Gift bags were invented for a reason...

3. Colored lights or white lights on tree/house?
I haven't had a tree in about 15 years, I have no patience for it- -my parents tree always has white lights...

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Maybe if I did i'd have someone to kiss - but nope -- how about a bunch of basil?

5. When do you put your decorations up?
my ornament tree went up when i moved in - and it stays up year round..i have a cloth santa that never goes away either..

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Stuffed mushrooms - my own thank you very much

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?
my grandpa reading to me the Velveteen rabbit when I was but a wee child... It will always be my favorite story... I haven't had a grandparent since I was 12 or 12 - but even as old as I am -- I remember him reading to me so vividly - down to the smell of his pipe and the sound of his voice.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
My mother told me when i was 9ish - i don't remember why she did - she just did..

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Nope - hate that practice...

10. What kind of cookies does Santa get set out for him?
Our house - santa got a single malt scotch, a plate of pretzels and some cheese and crackers

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
It's pretty to look at but i have this fear of falling on my ass and breakingevery bone in my butt in the ice - -so pass thanks

12. Can you ice skate?
Not anymore- two years of arthroscopic surgery and no cartilidge in my left knee have made me paranoid

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
A first edition copy of the Velveteen Rabbit given to me by my best friend.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
Giving - I usually put a lot of thought and effort into gifts to find the perfect thing for everyone - this year - I don't have the motivation...

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Bread pudding with caramel sauce... made with home made challah bread

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Used to be midnight mass with a friend, or lighting of the christmas tree at Lincoln Center- now there's none.

17. What tops your tree?
No tree

18. Which do you prefer Giving or Receiving?
Giving - I hate receiving gifts.. I hate attention...

19. What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
O Holy Night... Sung by Luciano Pavoritti..

20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum?
Only if I can make them into bark...!
