Go buy the Arm and Hammer D/O. It's the simple kind, works REALLY well, and all the girls describe it as smelling "clean". It's not an overpowering smell so you can stack a cologne on it as well.
I used to swear by Old Spice, but has a much too strong smell IMO. Arm and Hammer is my new kind.
