Philosophy doesn't really have any answers, it just offers ways of thinking about the question, so you'll always get people who resort to the 'well you can't prove it one way or the other' routine to choke off the debate.
The thing is, philosophy and theology are very difficult to delineate. In fact, to my way of thinking, theology is basically a subcategory of philosophy, the same way aesthetics, metaphysics and epistemology are.
