The way he perfectly captures THREE!!! different facial expressions (not mad, mad and really mad) is amazing!!! Dont forget the original characters he comes up with! My only questions with regards to Liefeld is a) why do people buy his crap? and b) how does he still find work?

It does cause some problems when he's the artist on a book paired with a good writer. I was really torn when it came to Teen Titans 27 & 28, because they were written by Gail Simone, whom I love, and it's a regular buy for me.
Though I don't care for him myself--he generally doesn't appeal much to the hard core fans--I can see why he's popular with casual fans. The hyper-muscular physiques and pinup style do make for striking looking art, especially if you haven't seen it a thousand times. Not everyone sees that he's just aping Neal Adams and doing a pale imitation; they see the surface and that's it.
