Being left-handed and the only one in my family posed a few problems:
Tying shoes. No one could teach me properly and I couldn't teach my own kids-their father had to.
Scissors: Cutting my own bangs while looking in the mirror holding scissors backwards would make an amusing film short.
Art: I have to consciously start painting on the right or I'll ruin my work-that's happened more than once. Not to mention the ruined shirt sleeves.
One thing I am used to is drawing with the mouse with my right hand. I can't do it with my left.
I remember a gym class in 8th grade-for playing basketball the teacher thought lefties against righties...only problem was, there were only 5 of us...about 20 of them...
